What We Believe
In Hebrew, the root word for compassion is “rechem” which means “womb.” The biblical implication is that the compassion of God is displayed through the process of pregnancy. When women choose life, we believe they birth compassion.
We believe that women are created by God to birth compassion into the world. Our services seek to empower women during one of the most vulnerable and sacred times of their lives: the transition into motherhood.
The original word “doula” was defined as “mothering the mother.” Our coaches seek to provide motherly love to women during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Through your support, we are able to empower daughters with God’s love.
One of the first founders of the feminist movement, Alice Paul, once said that “Abortion is the ultimate exploitation of women.” We combat the exploitation of women, in all its forms, with the compassion of Jesus Christ. We fight to empower women during one of the most vulnerable times of their lives: the transition into motherhood.
Our Mission
Our pregnancy program mission is to provide compassionate care to women from the womb, to the tomb, to the world.
Daughters of Compassion was formed as an organization in response to the overturn of Roe vs. Wade with a mission to provide compassionate care to daughters from the womb to the tomb to the world. Our coaching services span a broad range of needs from prayer, life, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and grief coaching. Our commodities are collected at events to be dispersed to the diverse humanitarian needs of families. We also provide communal living on a case by case basis, connecting women with group homes and volunteer foster families. Women can trust Daughters of Compassion for Christ-centered compassionate care.
Through financial support and donations, we are able to provide income-based services to women in sumner, Davidson, and macon counties in Tennessee and Allen County in Kentucky.
